Coupons for Causes LA is an organization that uses coupons to buy items to donate to Upward Bound House, a local charity. Upward Bound House assists homeless families with minor children by providing housing and support services along with food and personal supplies. Using coupons and sales we are able to save over 90% off retail on a variety of products, which means UBH gets more products to help families in need. Free After Rebate Groceries!

In the Sunday paper a few weeks ago there was a rebate form for a big selection of groceries from Safeway/Vons.  I stopped in today and picked up the non perishable stuff on the list.  After I submit the form, I will get a check back for the full pre-tax amount, and because all of the items are food there is no additional tax to pay out of pocket.  Wonderful:)

I also got the applesauce pouch at Ralphs the other day at a free sample table.  I was carrying it around in my purse for a moment when one of my kids needed a snack when I realized that it was free, and I should donate it!
