Coupons for Causes LA was founded when I had the idea to use "Extreme Couponing" strategies to buy goods to donate to local charities. I realized that by using coupons I could support local organizations by buying great products for a fraction of the cost. Coupons for Causes is building a great network of supporters in the LA area. Every time you donate a coupon insert from the weekend or Sunday LA Times we are able to buy items to support families in need. All unused and expired coupons are donated to military families (they can use coupons up to 6 months past their expiry date). No coupon goes to waste!
Coupons for Causes donates all goods to Upward Bound House, an organization that is devoted to ending homelessness of families with minor children. As a mom, I really connected with this mission. UBH does not only provide housing, but they have a program to help these families become sustainable and "graduate" into self-sufficiency. The items we provide to UBH help to support these families while they are getting back on their feet. For more information on this amazing organization please see the web site:
