Coupons for Causes LA is an organization that uses coupons to buy items to donate to Upward Bound House, a local charity. Upward Bound House assists homeless families with minor children by providing housing and support services along with food and personal supplies. Using coupons and sales we are able to save over 90% off retail on a variety of products, which means UBH gets more products to help families in need. The more coupons we have the more deals we can get, so please consider donating your Sunday paper coupons. Week 1

Check out the haul from Week 1! Here is the summary:

13 personal care items including soap, bath scrub, and hand sanitizer
6 cosmetics items, including eyeliner, make up remover, and nail files
7 baby items, including diapers, bottles, and pacifiers
6 office supply items, including pencils, crayons, and printer paper
1 cleaning item

TOTAL RETAIL = $132.88
TOTAL BEFORE TAX = $3.02
TOTAL AFTER TAX = $8.56

PERCENTAGE SAVINGS = 98%

This week there were a lot of try me free rebates on high value items, and I was able to use store rewards to make a lot of purchases.  Let's see how we do next week!!
